As the Men’s First Team approach the final stages of their 2025/26 campaign, it’s been another outstanding season for our Under 18s Midland Floodlit side.
With five league games remaining, the team are pushing hard for a top-three finish—an impressive achievement given the strength of the Midland Youth Floodlit League, and one that would mark back-to-back top-three finishes following their title-winning campaign three years ago.
While league form has been strong, it’s in the cup competitions where this group has truly excelled.
On Wednesday 22nd April 2026, the team will travel to Bromsgrove Sporting FC to face Kidderminster Harriers in the Midland Floodlit League Cup Final (7:45pm kick-off). This marks the club’s first appearance in the U18 MYFL Cup Final in over a decade. On their journey to the final, they’ve overcome Bedworth, AFC Wolverhampton City, Solihull Academy, and Rushall Olympic.
Just five days later, attention turns to the County Cup Final—another huge occasion and the club’s first appearance since 2021. A hard-fought semi-final victory over current league leaders Brocton secured their place. The final will be played at Stafford Rangers, kicking off at 7:30pm.
Team manager and Chairman Gavin Appleby shared his pride in the squad:
“This is a great achievement for this group of players. They have shown real spirit throughout the season and fully deserve the opportunity to compete for these two prestigious trophies.”
Your support could make all the difference—come along and get behind the lads!
