Man At The Helm:
Karl Marginson = Beginning his career as a player, Marginson played for clubs in the EFL including; Blackpool FC, Rotherham United FC and Macclesfield Town FC. Adding an extensive experience of non-league football, he also managed to play for ; Salford City, Radcliffe Borough, Hyde United, Stalybridge Celtic, Barrow, Chorley, Droylsden and Curzon Ashton. Managing to win some silverware, Karl won the FA Trophy with Macclesfield at Wembley in the 1995-96 season, and won the Conference title to gain promotion into the football league the following year.
Karl Marginson started his managerial career on 22nd June 2005, when he was appointed the first ever manager of FC United of Manchester after one of their players Joz Mitten recommended him to the board and led the team to immediate success by achieving promotion in each of their three seasons. In the 2010-11 season, his side managed to reach the first round proper of the FA Cup, beating Rochdale in the second round and creating history. On 24th October 2017, Marginson left his role as manager for FC United by mutual agreement, and was later appointed Head Of Football Operations for Radcliffe FC, inNovember 2018. Following this in October 2023, he was appointed manager of Trafford FC, where he is currently still at during this time.
