The Man at The Helm : Alex Craddock

Following the departure of David Fish, Mossley AFC appointed Alex Craddock as their main man at the helm.

Alex joined the Lilywhites in the summer of 2020, arriving as David Fish’s first-team coach. Following the departure of assistant manager Lee Ashworth in December 2021, Alex was promoted to assistant manager with the Mossley AFC.

On confirming the appointment of Alex for next season, Club director Nathan Harris told the club “When David made his decision to step-down at the end of the season, we wanted to move quickly to appoint his successor. Alex was naturally a front-runner for the role and providing continuity was an important factor in that – we’re delighted he has agreed to choose us as his first step into football management”

Since then, Alex has managed to triumph the club into a very good 2025/26 season, as they currently hold a long unbeaten streak which Newcastle Town look to break in this weekend’s battle.
