So who are we up against?
Today's opponents in Bedworth United have started the season in the NPL Midlands a little rocky but league form does not count in the cup as we all know too well.
They beat Coventry Sphinx (great name) in the last round to progress with a William Edjenguele 70th minute goal to set today's fixture up but in their last 2 league outings they have lost them both 2-0
In last year's FA Cup they went out in the 2nd Qual round losing 3-1 to long Eaton but they did take a victory 2-1 against Kidsgrove in the cup so they have seen wins in the borough in the FA Cup. The best they have done in the cup is the 4th Qual Round and that was back in the 1996/97 season when they played Boston United.
They are a team to not underestimate that is for sure and have a player that was linked with us last season in Max Dixon who played at Lichfield in the Midlands Premier.
WHO 2 WATCH FOR
Sadly not as much game film on Bedworth but from chatting with a few folk in the game I will have to identify their last goalscorer as a threat so look out for William Edjenguele, but as folk, no me if there was an ex-Crewe player in this lineup I would have picked him.
MATCH PREDICTION
I have taken some stick these last few weeks for not nailing my colours to the mast with my predictions but I will today, I see no reason why we will not get into the bag or the bowl for the next round and with the strong squad we have, I hope to see over 2.5 goals in the game for us and a very happy Saturday night waiting for the draw on Monday.
