In a progressive move for our player and club pathway, we are pleased to advise that we have submitted an application for a Reserve team to play in the Staffordshire Senior League.
The club feels that by adding this team to our pathway it completes a full structure from our Midland Saturday football through to adult football for our young and progressing players.
The team will be managed by Dean Gillick, who himself needs no introduction to Town having been involved with the club for 25 years on and off the field.
Dean commented
“Newcastle Town has made great strides in the past few years to progress on and off the field, the introduction of our reserve team completes our pathway and provides the opportunity to progress through to First Team Step 4 Football"
"Town are committed to the continuous development of players who join us at the age of 5 at our Soccer School and have the potential to progress through our community and midlands teams into senior football which clearly highlights out proven pathway here at the club"
The Reserves will play in the prestigious Staffordshire Senior League which has a wealth of top-quality local teams.
The Staffordshire Senior league will provide players with a platform to perform in a high quality organised league. Players from both our reserves and opponents will also benefit from the first-class facilities available at the Red Industries stadium as all our home games will be played utilising our first team facilities.
Dean continued with
"As a Club that offers Football for boys and girls of all ages, along with a BTEC educational course onsite and is currently looking into how we can help with disability football, we are determined and committed to being the best Semi-Professional Football Club in Staffordshire that has a “Proven Pathway” and caters for all abilities"
