Cup Draws

Castle drawn away to Evesham in FA Cup

The draw for the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup has been made today and we’ll be on our travels as we enter the competition at the earliest possible stage.

Today’s draw has pitted us against Southern League Division One South opponents Evesham United, for what will be our first competitive fixture of the 2024/25 season.

The Worcestershire club, like us, compete at tier four of the football pyramid, so the expectation will be for a tough but even contest as we will look to get our season underway with a positive result.

Although not played until the first Saturday in September (7 September), the draw has also been made for the preliminary round of the FA Trophy. Again, the draw has sent us down south on our travels – for this one we are away to Sutton Coldfield Town – who play in the midlands division of the Northern Premier League.

So mark your cards folks, while our league fixtures won’t be revealed until either the latter part of next week or the beginning of the following week, we now know our first competitive first team game will be away to Evesham United on Saturday 3 August with a 3pm kick off. See you there…

Come on Castle!
