Level 2

Overview:

Newcastle Town FC have come together with Sports Leaders Qualifications to offer a unique opportunity for our young people aged 13+ to gain a Level 2 Sports Community Leadership qualification while receiving high-level UEFA ‘B’ football coaching. 

Young people undertaking this Level 2 qualification will learn how to deliver safe, purposeful and enjoyable sport/physical activity. 

Units Covered:

This is a recognised qualification which covers four units:

Unit 1: Building Leadership Skills
Unit 2: Plan, lead and evaluate sport and physical activity sessions
Unit 3: Assist in planning and leading a sports/physical activity event
Unit 4: Lead sport/physical activity sessions in your community

Students will be required to bring their football kit to take part in the activities during 
the course.

Students will be given all the classroom resources to achieve the course.

​

Classroom sessions are Monday to Thursday 9am until 3pm. 

​

Our next course starts on Monday 12th February 2024 to Thursday 15th February 2024.

The students are expected to complete a further 12 volunteer sessions (arranged by the club) demonstrating their leadership skills outside of these hours.
 

Football Opportunity:

Students will enjoy high level UEFA ‘B’ coaching from one of our qualified football coaches, while understanding the building blocks to delivery of their own football sessions. Students will receive feedback on their performance.  

Cost and Location:

The course is run from Roe Lane Playing Fields in Clayton, using the on site classroom and 20 acre of football facility including our state of the art 3G pitch.

The cost is £150 for the full course and includes certification.
